Bell Helicopter Case Yields Clue in Murder Investigation

June 30, 2019 Posted In

Tom Wales, a federal prosecutor, was shot and killed in his Seattle home. Wales had been prosecuting a case involving a Bell Helicopter — an odd case which seemed as mysterious as his murder.  Though the murder took place in 2001, Rod Rosenstein announced a few months ago that the murder investigation is still active.  There’s never been an arrest, and there’s a $1.5 million reward for information.

The murder the subject of a popular podcast, “Somebody, Somewhere.”  The podcast’s twelfth and final episode focuses on a Bell Helicopter case that Mike Danko was handling just before Wales was shot. Danko pieces the clues together.

The highly-rated series is a must-listen for anyone interested in the aviation industry or in the FAA, even if you’ve never listened to a podcast before.

The first episode is called “corporate politics.”-  Season 1, Episode 1
